About Journal

The Journal of East Asian Trade (JEAT) is the official publication of the East Asian Trade Association (EATA) and is published by EATA. JEAT is the leading peer-reviewed, scholarly journal that publishes research across the entire range of topics encompassing the domain of global trade pertaining to East Asian Countries.

JEAT aims to be a resource for the advancement of the theoretical foundations and the practical applications in the context of trade issues pertaining to East Asian Countries (China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Russia) including the Philippines. The journal takes a broad perspective of the global trade by covering many vibrant sectors such as manufacturing, retailing, international trade, agricultural economy, tourism, and information technology, just to name a few. The journal will publish research papers, reports, and commentaries of significant interest to the community engaged in global trade. By being a conduit for sharing intellectual ideas and opinions among the academia and individual global industry sectors, the journal aims to bridge the gap between research and sound decision-making.

JEAT is the only trade journal that highlights a diversity of perspectives through research papers, reports, and commentaries of significant interest to the East Asian trade community.

JEAT enhances sound research through quick and constructive review of the manuscripts submitted.

JEAT aims to appeal to academics, government representatives, business major students, business and industry professionals, and trade organizations.
